great easy workout Feb 10, 2009
By chibrook The dvd's are short and have three levels of intensity. The exercises do indeed work your abs hard. You want to get the Bender Ball from Amazon - NOT the bender ball website or you end up joining essentially a dvd club (whether you wanted to or not) that is next to impossible to get them to stop charging you for!

Ignore the DVD, but the ball's worth it Jan 08, 2009
By Busy college junior I agree with the first reviewer: the DVD is useless. But then again, most exercise DVDs are. You've got to keep in mind they take all kinds of supplements and probably have personal trainers working with them 6 days a week. And if they're any kind of successful, they can afford medical procedures the other 99% of us can't (or just won't do). If you've ever seen the commercial for this, the only truth to it is the "flexion and extension" part: you need both motions to really work your muscles to their fullest extent. The ball is good because it allows you more room to move, depending on where you place it under your back. So if you buy this at all, get it for the ball (which is the perfect size for ab workouts) and ignore the DVD. You can find free workouts online anyhow.

Like it! Oct 01, 2009
By Amanda Robinson I bought this at Walmart, so I didn't have the DVD club issues others have had. It is just a little ball, but I think the exact size of it is important for it to work right, and also the flexibility of the rubber, so I would still buy this over a kids ball.
I also like the DVDs that came with it. I tend to need instruction and reminders, and the videos keep me honest and keep me from stopping a few reps early;-)

Is really helping tight hips and tight lower back Feb 07, 2009

"Shanti Cali"
I did purchase this on amazon and was a bit skeptical. But for me, my experience is that it really has helped my back, which is why I purchased it. I have herniated disk and sciatica issues and found that the twenty minute healthy back routine is great. I do take a hot epson salt bath before doing it, and don't put the ball directly under the back as it has you do in a few movements, I do the movements w/o ball under my back for now, I need more stability,. I mean you have to be discerning as to what you can do and what is too much if you have back issues. I find I am taller and feel much looser. It has only been two weeks, but I look forward to the future of doing this daily and having my mobility back. Just make sure and don't overdo it!

You won't regret buying this ball! Dec 21, 2009
By Medusa Abs workout and crunches will never be the same once you use the bender ball. It targeted muscles I never knew I had.It is much more challenging than the big stability ball and more effective. Each workout has three phases: beginner, intermediate and advanced. The movements are simple, easy, yet challenging. The trick is not to quit, keep on doing it and you will notice better results with time.
