I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and have been teaching for 5. I've used many yoga mats out there, from inexpensive to very expensive and I must say this mat compares with some of the best. It's thick but not too thick or heavy and sticky so even when doing hot yoga I'm not sliding around. Well constructed so I know it will last (hate to throw my money away on something that won't). Am planning on buying more to keep around the studio for students. Definitely recommend buying this if you're just starting out and want your own mat or an old pro like me.

This compares well with another mat I have in terms of thickness and comfort, but I like this one because it is a little longer. I'm 6'3", and I wouldn't go any shorter than this. It's a little slippery at first, although they offer a rosin bag to help with this. The material has more of a memory foam effect than my other mat which I'd rather not have, but it's not that big of a deal for me.

I bought this product for me and my wife to use for her new workout kick. I normally review only item that I am into to, but for the price I was blow away with what I got. My neighbor has a Gaiam mat she got at Dicks and paid 10 bucks more for and the mat feels cheaper and thinner than mine(maybe not the best they make). It seems that I got a great mat at a crazy price, my wife uses it daily(me less), but we both enjoy it for it's tacky feel, and that it has just enough cushion without feeling soggy.

I purchased this mat for my wife as she was getting tired of her old mat, which was to thin and not long enough for her needs. She practices yoga on a daily basis, so I wanted to get her something decent. I came upon this Black Mountain Products yoga mat which had all the specifications I was looking for. The mat is very long and is quite thick. My wife has been using the mat for awhile now and she really enjoys it. She has had no slip issues and likes the extra cushion it provides. I have also used the mat myself on occasion doing various workouts and have found it very useful and will be purchasing another for my exercise routines. We are very impressed with the mat and my wife and I will be recommending to friends and family.

I had a hard time doing yoga on the floor until I got this mat. The material and durabilty of this mat makes my yoga experience a pleasurable one. I feel like I can do any pose now since I have amazing grib from this mat. I give this mat five stars, not only for being a great mat but also because of the great costumer service that it's company provided as well. They answered any questions I had about their product and they offer a free lifetime warranty on this mat, so if you ever have a problem or it got damages for any reason, they will automatically send you a new one without any questions. It gets no better than this! To a good yoga experience and healthy living. God Bless
