Well worth the money Mar 04, 2010

I have had a Galena model including the leg press add-on since 2004. It's a very solid, well-made gym. I'm 6'3" and have not had any trouble doing any of the exercises. If you're much taller than 6'3" you may find the leg extension less than satisfactory. (It just barely works for me.) All parts move with ease and without noise except for the customary clank the moment the weight stack comes back to rest after an exercise. It came with all the straps and widgets needed to do the full range of exercises. So, no other expense, other than a book I purchased to help me see other ways to use a weight machine. (The manual and exercise poster that came with my Galena didn't describe all of the various exercises that can be done with it and there's a LOT more that can be done than what they tell you. Perhaps since 2004 they've added a little more documentation?) It fits nicely into a corner of the room and looks like it belongs in a commercial gym. For the money I didn't find anything else close to this quality back in 2004. I'm quite happy with my purchase.

The Bodycraft Galena Pro is a well made and diversified piece of equipment. Very smooth cable and weight operation. It is sturdy enough for my 6 ft. 214 lb. husband and a good fit for myself. Amazon gave us speedy deliver without incidence. I totally recommend this as an alternative to a gym membership.

Purchased this home gym after a week of research. Me and my son have been useing this gym for approxinatly 2 months. The shipping was good and fast it came on a large truck to my shop. It was easy to take the gym off the pallett in the boxes . Assembly took approximatly 3.5 hrs taking my time. We love this gym. My last gum was a parabody unit that I left in the old house that we sold. This gym is very well built and is solid. It does not have to fit into a corner. We have it in the middle of a room and it fits great. it is easy to reach the weight stack from either side of the gum to adjust the weight. It is nice to be able to adjust the gym to fit different size people for all exercizes it takes just a few secounds to do this. The paint job and the welds on this gym are secound to none. all The pads are very comfortable and very well stiched I look forward to working out now. There are a lot of different of exercizes to do with this unit so we can mix it up a bit. I am Highly pleased with this purchase and highly recomend it . any questions plesae ask, Glen.

Delivery was a little slow but as it was a holiday week, not really unexpected. Gym was relatively easy to setup after overcoming the daunting number of parts. Definitely a 2-person job. Directions could use a little updating but nothing that can't be reasoned out. I'm a little concerned about the Leg Press pulley setup as it acts choppy but I haven't taken a good look at it yet to see if there is anything I can do to fix it. Otherwise it is a great product!

Great system.
Missed one star due to the fact that seats needs to go down just 1 or 2 inches more... I'm 6'5" but I can still do everything on the machine -- just not perfectly.
Big pro is that it required no connection to the wall.
