The dumbbells came in the proper packaging, clean, and unharmed. Upon opening them I could tell the weight was right. The dumbbells have the options of adding up to 30lbs on one for added weight. This product was exactly as expected and am very happy with the product for the price.
I chose these dumbbells over others because of the price point, and because the shipping is free since the product alone is $25.50.
*Look carefully at the weights to make sure they face inward to line up properly and don't move around.
Someone here mentioned the clamps are hard to use and require two people...
If these clamps are too hard to use, you should probably not consider working out at all as you are either paralyzed, or 5lbs of weight may be too much. These clamps do their job and are unmovable if used with some common sense

These may be useful if you only plan on lifting 20 lbs on each arm, but they are not much use otherwise because the vinyl cement plates are so bulky that there is no room to add additional weight plates.
Also, at 20lbs, it is a bit unstable and the plates tend to rotate as you are using them which can make it difficult to concentrate on the workout.
It's better just to pay a bit more and get metal plates with screw threading. They allow you add additional plates later and you can screw them very tightly so they are very stable while you are using them.

I bought this weight set to use at home for when I can't make it to the gym. This set is very sturdy and at under $30.00 w/ shipping this is a fantastic price! The weights are vinyl coated and cement filled, nothing fancy but it gets the job done. You get 4 x 2.5 lb plates, 4 x 7.5 plates, two dumbbell handles and 4 collars. Overall, I think this is great starter set and a great addition to your workout routine.

I wanted to throw my own two cents. They come in a box, 8 weights total, two sticks, and 4 clamps. No instructions came with mine, and no workout instructions as was listed in the description. Clamping it isn't difficult, just a good grip and you're able to slide it. While lifting, as someone stated, they do rotate. It made me uneasy at first as I had the fear that the clamps would be pushed to the side and something would fall on me, however, no accidents as of yet and I'm confident there won't be.
You can use these from 20 to 30 pounds on a stick. I tried 25 pounds on one stick, barely any room to attach the clamp, but it securely stayed there and again, no accidents. At 30 pounds there's enough room for the clamps and again, no accidents, just a lot of spinning as some people have put it. The bigger your hand, the more uncomfortable the grip will feel as it's pretty small and almost weightless. There's no way to attempt to stick 40 pounds total due to how big the weights are. At 25 dollars with prime shipping, I'd say definitely worth a try, I wish I would have seen these instead of buying two 20's weeks earlier!

These are decent weights, what do you people expect for this price? The clamps hold just fine and after several years haven't worn out. The weights aren't going to slide off, don't listen to these paranoid reviews. The only real downside to the weights is that the weights don't lock and the clamp doesn't hold them very tight so they rotate and wobble VERY SLIGHTLY as you use them. It can get distracting but a little bit of foam-rubber tape in the hub of each weight fixes that problem completely.
I don't quite get the price listed on Amazon because you can find these EXACT weights at Wal-Mart (I know, eewwwww...) for $19.97 and $0.97 shipping.
