Nylon ROPE Apr 06, 2011
By jojo Really like this. This particular doorknob exerciser is made just like the old ones from the 70s or so. It is made with nylon rope and plastic pulleys. The loop for the doorknob has a nice thick knot tied in it so you can adjust it to stay on the knob. As I was using it the first time I was thinking that I could really do this without "assistance," but know I won't. This gives just that little extra help. So, I love having it. I found also that it is good for stretching my back and giving me some relief there. In my case I used to lay on my back and pull my knees up to my chest, individually then together. I don't do this exercise much because it's a joke for me at 245 pounds. Then I found I could do it very easily with the doorknob exerciser.

It works if you use it Oct 26, 2010

I had one of these years ago and it really did whittle away some inches. But I haven't use this one much and the inches aren't going away on their own. It runs smoothly and it's a great reducer for the price compared to joining a gym.

rope on the door Jun 22, 2010

This is a very good product, my aunt had brought hers when she came to visit, she had her for years. I looked on amazon and found chosen the one I thought was compatible, the only difference is that mine is plastic and she had the cloth (old fashion) rope, I liked that one better, even though this is good.

THIS PULLEY SYSTEM IS BETTER Apr 02, 2012
By "smiling" I finally found a new door exerciser after a few years of missing the one that got me trim and flexible :) However, my old exerciser by Bally's had some sort of product malfunctions and the movment didnt feel as natural, rather forced. THE MOMENT I PUT THIS PRODUCT ON THE DOOR KNOB AND BEGAN MY EXERCISE, IT GLIDED PERFECTLY...SMOOTH AND NATURALLY PUTS UR BODY IN ALIGNMENT FOR A GREAT STRETCH AND WORKOUT. Depending on ur pace, it gets your heart racing..its like running in the air or getting that perfect stretch mid-air. I do 100 or 200 and results come quick...watch everyday how your midsection melts away! ****This pulley system is better than other brands...the nylon and plastic work much better than rope and bulky ( with the brand name written across it) pulley's to get in the way of your exercise enjoyment.
Best Regards

Look closely at the picture. It is really that size. Mar 19, 2012

I had owned the exerciser that Joe Weider had put out in the early 70s. It really worked gret. I had lent it out about twelve years ago and that was the end of it. This looked to be the same but, look closely at the picture. It is really that size. I am barely small enough to use it. Yes, it is usable, but very close to the door and I wouldn't be able to be any taller than my 5'1". My hands actually touch the pulleys when they are up. This would be wonderful if it were longer. At the moment, we are trying to figure out what to use to make the attachment to the door extended so I don't have to be so close. The actual exerciser part cannot be lengthened unfortunately.
