Generally, my only complaint is the awkward shape and thick handles. my hands appear to be very small, but i still manage to use them. the material is easy to grip and doesnt slip out of your hands, also very comfortable while lifting. i definitely recommend this set

These weights get the job done but I don't like the uneven and awkward shape of the handle. You can sort of see from the photo that they are not evenly shaped like most weights. It makes it hard to do certain moves, especially some of the moves in Jillian's videos! Also, the handles are really thick. Not good for small hands.

Do not buy these dumbbells. I purchased the 3 lb thru 8lb set at my local surplus store and as soon as I opened the box the foam coating on the weights started peeling off. Product is very cheaply made. If I were Jillian, I would not want my name on this product! These are going back and I will be buying another brand.

Came with a DVD that I wasn't expecting - definitely a bonus. Overall good value weights. The only complaint I have is that the handles are really thick. I have smaller hands, though, so that may not bother most people.

My girlfriend purchased these weights and after her first use her hands were left with black residue from the weights coating. Do not purchase these weights! Also their odd shape made it very hard for her to get a good grip on them, so women with small hands stay away from these dumbbells. She has returned them and bought a pair of Troy Barbell VTX 8 lbs Neoprene Dumbbells from Walmart for $20. She seems to really like those better.
