 Worth every penny, but no more Jan 09, 2012

I had fairly low expectations for this product because it was so low cost. I was pleasantly surprised. The mat is pretty thick and comfortable; it feels very nice. Now for the not so good points. It is pretty slippery which is less than ideal for a yoga mat but there are many ways to work around that. The worse thing is that it is stretchy so for poses where you there are forces pushing apart on the mat it can stretch and distort e.g. in a downward facing dog pose I find that the mat rucks up around my feet.
tl;dr: you get what you pay for, this is a fair mat but beware the stretchiness.

If you are a serious yoga person, I would NOT suggest buying this product!!! It is very cheaply made and it DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE SHOWN! The picture shows real yoga mat material in an ocean blue color; in reality, it is Styrofoam-like material, in a baby blue color. The material is far from that I have seen and felt on other mats. AND, I have used it only one time and it already has marks, dings and scratches just from regular use. Personally, I am not a serious "yoga person"... I am taking a yoga course at school and didn't want to spend a whole 20 bucks on a mat I would never use again... Anyways, it works for me, but just remember, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! : ) & in my case, 6 bucks will get me through the semester!

I was expecting the mat to be thicker than it is. I tore it by accident very easily, but there's nothing duck tape doesn't fix. Right?

The material is very thin and not at all sticky but overall it serves the purpose. I wouldn't buy this for children though.

I ordered this yoga mat around three months ago. Right away, I knew there was a problem when the mat I received did not match the mat pictured. The mat in the picture looks like a good, solid yoga mat, with the correct pattern, etc. I think it might be a picture of a quality yoga mat. But the one I received was lighter in color and the pattern was different.
I decided to use it anyway and it was awful. The mat would slip and slide on the floor (my friend's $18 mat always stayed firmly in place). After only a few uses, it started to develop small tears and holes. Looking back, it is clear that this mat was seriously detrimental to my workouts immediately, and after about three weeks it was totally useless.
I've had a lot of luck going the cheapo route on Amazon, but this mat is a piece of garbage. Buy something else, even if it's a few dollars more.
